Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once appeared to be an inseparable unit, combining their personal and professional lives.

However, 2024 has seen a massive overhaul over in Montecito when it comes to Harry and Meghan’s united endeavours.

Now it seems as the couple - who are parents of son Prince Archie, five, and daughter Princess Lilibet, three - have branched out on their own.

The Duke of Sussex, in particular, taking things global over the past few months, while Meghan has ostensibly held the fort down back in California and stepped out solo on the red carpet.

Insiders revaled Meghan Markle has been ‘disheartened’ over Harry’s increased popularity since their solo appearances.

Fans have lauded the Duke's comeback as a relatable, who can share a joke with people and mingle with them as a normal guy.

However, for Meghan, Harry’s soaring popularity has done nothing to reingratiate her into people’s good books.

The Duchess, who's still facing criticism at every turn, has reportedly started to feel pang of jealousy throughout the journey.

Insiders told Closer, "Meghan’s putting on a very brave face and telling Harry how proud she is of him.

"On the one hand, she is really pleased that he’s getting good reviews, but – at the same time – it’s pretty disheartening to see that, when she does things on her own she’s torn to shreds."

They went on explaining the reason why Meghan feels so, claiming: "People take swipes at her when she’s trying to promote her businesses and treat her like some sort of Wicked Witch no matter what she does, whereas nearly every move Harry makes is applauded."

The source added: "It’s pretty hard to stomach and really has the potential to build up a lot resentment."
