Kesha is ringing in the holidays with a surprise gift for fans: a new song, Delusional.
Released over the weekend, the track follows the unveiling of her music video for Joyride earlier in the week, sparking excitement about her evolving artistic journey. Announcing the latest release, the TiK ToK hitmaker took to Instagram to wish a “Happy delusional day to everybody except for my ex.”
The song, co-written by Kesha, Zhone, and Madison Love, is now streaming across all major platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music, and available for purchase on iTunes.
Fans caught their first hint of Delusional on Wednesday when Kesha teased its release at the end of her Joyride video, marking another milestone for her independent label, Kesha Records.
Since launching her label with global distribution through ADA, Kesha has embraced creative freedom and ownership of her music. “I am excited to take control of my narrative and rewrite my story in the music business,” she said in September while announcing the partnership. Her upcoming album, expected in 2025, is already generating buzz thanks to her recent releases.
This new phase comes after Kesha’s legal battle with producer Dr. Luke, which was resolved last year. The defamation suit’s conclusion follows nearly a decade of public disputes that began when Kesha accused Dr. Luke of abuse in 2014.
