Sarah Ferguson opened up about her cancer journey and the vital advice she has given to her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
During an exclusive interview with Hello! Magazine, the Duchess of York, who has survived breast cancer, shared that she often urges her daughters to gain awareness about the growing disease.
Speaking of her journey, "I'm only standing here today thanks to a routine mammogram appointment that I almost missed."
Sarah added, "It's really important that we all go for our regular screening and that we're breast aware and get any changes or lumps checked quickly."
The Duchess said that she requested Beatrice and Eugenie "to be breast aware as breast cancer can strike at any age."
Sarah said that it is "vital" that people should take responsibility for our own well being. She continued, "...If you think something’s wrong, ask for help and don’t take no for an answer."
Moreover, Prince Andrew's wife made an emotional confession about cancer, saying that this disease "is like a bomb going off in your life, and it doesn’t just affect you but your entire family."
The mother-of-two revealed that she is a positive person but two cancer diagnoses have affected her life.
