Nicole Kidman, who is currently going through a heartbreak, has decided to take major step for her two children, whom she shares with ex-husband, Tom Cruise.
A Family Affair actress’ mission to reconnect with Isabella and Connor Cruise, according to an insider, was the last promise she made to her mother, Janelle.
“It hurt Janelle too that she and [her late husband] Antony were estranged from Bella and Connor,” the source told the New Idea magazine.
“They were their first two grandchildren and were once very close.”
The To Die For actress and the Mission Impossible actor adopted Isabella and Connor in early '90s before getting divorced in 2001. The two children chose to stay with their father and haven’t been seen publicly with their mother since 2007.
When Janelle died, the Academy Award winner received a heartfelt letter from her children, which also left her hoping she could have them back in her in her life, according to Woman's Day magazine.
The insider revealed that Kidman told her husband Keith Urban that she really wants the kids to be “active members” of their family in the new year. However, she has left the final decision to her children.
“Losing her mum has made Nicole not want to waste any more time,” the insider told the New Idea magazine, “It was a deep regret that they were unable to see her in person before she died.”
Apart from Connor and Isabella, Kidman is also mother to two daughters, Sunday and Faith, whom she shares with Urban.
