Angelina Jolie recently shared rare insights into her successful Hollywood career.
In a conversation with The Sunday Times, the 49-year-old discussed her working experience in the film industry and expressed confidence in her acting abilities.
The renowned actress revealed that she believes her craft has matured and improved with age.
Jolie added, "I’ve got better work as I’ve got older."
"I don’t think about it in terms of roles offered but in terms of life experience you contribute," the mother-of-six remarked.
The Wanted star, who recently portrayed opera singer Maria Callas in her newly released film Maria, expressed her disagreement over the fear of ageing, saying, "I'm a hard worker and a deeply feeling person."
Meanwhile, admiring the late singer's work, the Salt actress said, "Maria is vulnerable because she feels and isn't always able to protect herself from loneliness or emotional pain because it’s part of her life and work to be extremely human and live that way."
Speaking more about her early career, Jolie revealed that connecting with the audience is what brings an actor's work to life, and that has always been her top priority as an artist.
The Maleficent actress stated, "You live through your communication with the audience. For Maria and me that has always been extremely important."
For the uninitiated, Jolie is currently promoting her biopic film Maria, which released across theatres on November 27, 2024.
