Vicky Kaushal bags another big project in 'surprising' move

Vicky Kaushal is set to grace the screens with Rajkumar Hirani's next directorial.

The actor, who is gearing up for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film Love and War alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is collaborating closely with the director on a special project.

According to Pinkvilla, a source close to the development opened up about the Sanju actor's busy film schedule.

The insider explained, “Vicky was in conversation with Rajkumar Hirani for the last few months and has signed the dotted lines for his directorial which is at present in the scripting stage. The film rolls in 2026 once he wraps up shooting for the Amar Kaushik-directed Mahavatar."

The 36-year-old actor has made a name for himself in the industry, working with some of the top-notch and world-class artists.

Offering insight into Hirani's upcoming project, the source emphasized the considerable effort invested in the direction and production, adding, “It’s a special project and Rajkumar Hirani will extensively work on the script before taking it on floors in 2026."

On professional front, Vicky last starred in Meghna Gulzar's Sam Bahadur, earning a whopping Rs. 90 crore at the box office.

Previously, he was last seen in Hirani films, Sanju and Dunki.
