Abhishek Bachchan has seemingly responded to the backlash he received after not marking his daughter Aradhaya Bachchan's 13th birthday on social media.
According to Hindustan Times, the 48-year-old Indian actor made a guest appearance at Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 along with renowned filmmaker Shoojit Sircar to promote their recently released film, I Want To Talk.
During the show, Amitabh Bachchan asked his son what convinced him to say yes to the movie.
The father-of-one responded that in the movie, his character promises his daughter to ignore all his problems and live just for her.
The Dhoom star explained, "Shweta [Bachchan] is your daughter. I am a father to Aaradhya. Shoojit Sircar has two beautiful daughters."
"We are all girl dads, so we understand this emotion completely. This was enough for me to be convinced to do this film," the Dasvi actor added.
Abhishek further shared that nobody discusses what a father does for their children.
The father-of-one said, "It is mostly because fathers never make it obvious. They silently do what they have to."
Abhishek made these comments amid the ongoing divorce rumours with his wife and globally renowned actress, Aishwarya Rai.
For the unversed, the 51-year-old actress took to her Instagram handle a few days ago to share a few glimpses of Aradhaya's big day.
Notably, Abhishek was missing from the birthday tribute, fueling the split speculations between the couple.
Reportedly, the couple sparked separation rumours in October 2024.
