King Charles III's wife Queen Camilla has pulled out of important royal event over health concerns, sparking worries about her health.
The 77-year-old's absence at Royal Variety Performance left fans worried. She was forced to pull out as infection lingers, according to the statement.
However, Queen Camilla is said to be disappointed to miss the event on her doctors' advice.
A spokesperson for the Palace said: "Following a recent chest infection, The Queen continues to experience some lingering post-viral symptoms, as a result of which doctors have advised that, after a busy week of engagements, Her Majesty should prioritise sufficient rest.
"With great regret, she has therefore withdrawn from attendance at tonight’s Royal Variety Performance. His Majesty will attend as planned."
Royal commentator Cameron Walker also shared Camilla's reaction to miss the event, as he wrote on X: “Camilla sends her sincere apologies to all those involved, but is a great believer that ‘the show must go on’. She hopes to be back to full strength and regular public duties very soon.”
Queen Camilla missed the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on November 7 and the Buckingham Palace reception for Olympic and Paralympic athletes on the same evening.
