Isabel May is in talks to join the seventh instalment of the Scream franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress, best known for her roles in the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923, has landed the coveted role of Neve Campbell’s daughter in Scream 7.
The 23-year-old’s casting comes as the franchise lost its younger cast following Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera's departures.
Barrera, 34, was fired from the project last year after she raised her voice against the ongoing genocide.
Meanwhile, the Wednesday star quietly exited the project months earlier. In the wake of these departures, original director Christopher Landon also announced he was stepping away from the film.
While some stars have exited the upcoming film, Campbell, who sat out the previous instalment due to a salary dispute, has returned for the new feature.
The story of Scream 7 will focus on Campbell's character, Sidney Prescott, and her daughter.
The new movie on the horizon will be directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, who wrote the scripts for the original Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 4.
In addition, Guy Busick, who co-wrote Scream (2022) and Scream VI, has penned the script for the new movie.
Paramount Pictures has slated Scream 7 for release on February 27, 2026.
