Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may have shown their loyalty to King Charles but Prince Andrew’s daughters are not happy with the way things are going.

The monarch and his disgraced brother have been embroiled in an ongoing rift over the 30-room Windsor mansion, Royal Lodge. Charles had planned to evict Andrew from the royal residence but the Duke of York produced “legitimate sources” of income to stay in the mansion.

Now, a source has revealed that Beatrice and Eugenie are now fed up with how the Palace controls the narrative and uses it to portray a positive image of the royals to the public.

Beatrice and Eugenie, who are not official working royals, have a “feeling that the Royal Family likes to use them to portray a sense of unity to the public but it’s a different story behind the scenes”, a source told Express UK.

The York sisters feel that there is a constant “push and pull scenario for them which is becoming more and more difficult as time goes on” given the feud between their father and uncle.

They feel that the Lodge isn’t just an issue limited to Andrew but affects them as well.

Beatrice and Eugenie are “rallying around to help support their father,” and the whole York family have “held several meetings and drawn up a battle plan”.

“Royal Lodge is viewed as a York family problem, not just an Andrew problem and the whole family are chipping in, that includes Sarah, Beatrice and Eugenie.”

Charles and Andrew have never had very good relations even when they were young, but conflicts have grown over the past few years, especially after Andrew's fall from grace.

Following his ties with convicted Jeffrey Epstein and the sex scandal, the royal was stripped off of his royal titles and patronages. King Charles cut off his brother's annual £3 million royal fund and also had plans to downgrade him to Frogmore Cottage.

However, Andrew's funds are reportedly enough to continue his lease on the Lodge. Beatrice, who is expecting her second child, and Eugenie, who lives in Portugal, have kept away from the spotlight to avoid any press about their father.

“They will not allow their family to fall or come up against any more negative press. It’s very much a charge led by Beatrice. She's extremely loyal and has taken the reins,” the insider continued.

“The girls also want to forge their own lives and relationships with friends and family without feeling like they're under some sort of control.”
