Shah Rukh Khan is reflecting on his failures as he suggests his ways to adapt to global changes.
During an exclusive interview at the Global Freight Summit in Dubai, the King actor opened up about how success can lead to ‘isolation’ if proper measures aren’t taken.
Sharing his mammoth success, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor went on to explain his fair-share of career struggles, “Success somehow leads to failure as well because you get very isolated, not just physically… you get isolation of ideas because you are so driven by the success.”
The star said these factors might have contributed to the challenges he faced during the pre-covid time, turning into the success of his 2023 release Pathaan.
Shah Rukh revealed he was adamant to keep working hard and let things run their usual course as he stood up again as a versatile actor.
Speaking of his daily routine, SRK further added, “(At that time) I was just getting up in the morning, saying, ‘Okay I’m successful; I need to keep doing this; I need to keep working hard, and I need to make this film, I want to do this visual effects; I want to fly.’ But I didn’t realize that the world around me was changing.”
In addition, the 59-year-old emphasized the need to change with times, avoiding to work with one’s blinkers on.
He also shared strategies that helped him avoid failure, revealing, “The worst part is that you often don't realize you're becoming isolated because everything appears perfect on the surface. To truly connect, you must adapt to your audience's preferences and dislikes.”
On professional front, the actor is gearing up for his upcoming film King, which is slated to release in 2026.
