Aamir Khan is seemingly making efforts to mend his broken relationship with his daughter Ira Khan.
According to The Indian Express, the 59-year-old Indian actor recently shared that he and his daughter are participating in joint therapy to address their issues.
In a clip shared by Netflix India, Aamir appeared in a show alongside Ira and psychologist Dr. Vivek Murthy to discuss mental health related problems.
The 3 Idiots star disclosed, "Therapy is so helpful. I think she [Ira] pushed me down that path. I would strongly recommend therapy to anyone who feels the need for it. It has been helpful for me."
"Ira and I also have started joint therapy. The two of us go to a therapist for our relationship. To work on how to make that better and issues which have been there for over years," the PK actor added.
Speaking more about the importance of the parent-kid relationship the 27-year-old girl explained that therapy is crucial because working on your relationship with parents is one of the most important things to do.
The father-of-two further explained the complexities of mental health, saying, "It doesn't matter how worldly-wise you are. We know so little about our minds."
"But it is okay need help. I have benefited greatly from therapy," the Talaash actor said.
For the unversed, Aamir shares two children, Junaid Khan and Ira, with his former partner, Reena Dutta.
The couple parted ways in 2002, after spending sixteen years together.
