Princess Kate paid a heartfelt tribute to Duchess Sophie after the two graceful royal women shared a sweet moment at the Remembrance Sunday Service.
For the unversed, the Duchess of Edinburgh placed her hand on Catherine to support the Princess as she marked her return to the spotlight after completing her chemotherapy.
Speaking of Prince Edward's wife's move, royal commentator Ingrid Seward told Hello!, "That gesture of Sophie putting her arm around Kate is something you wouldn't have seen a few years ago."
In response, royal author Robert Jobson said "That moment said a lot. The royal family are all looking after Kate and there is a protective bubble around her."
Moreover, Ingrid claimed that the future Queen honoured Sophie by giving her place as her "older sister."
"They have a sisterly bond and Sophie is like the older sister Kate never had," she said.
While lauding the "incredibly kind girls" the Princess of Wales and the Duchess, the royal expert shared they both have a "caring side to them."
"They are both protective of their children. Sophie has had a young family, so she knows what it's like trying to protect them while being in the royal world," Ingrid believes.
During Princess Kate's health crisis, Sophie was "there in the background, as part of a private support network."
