Katy Perry is not falling for any traps as she marks another personal milestone.
The Roar hitmaker, who celebrated her 40th birthday last month, revealed that she has finally learned the art to care less about what other people think about her.
During an exclusive interview with The Sun newspaper, the 40-year-old opened up about living her life to the fullest with each passing year.
She told the outlet, “I guess I did step into what I call a ‘zero f**** 40'.
“A therapist told me one day, ‘No one can make you feel something about yourself that you already don’t feel about yourself’.
“So if someone says something about me that isn’t true, it doesn’t affect me because I know who I am now. I know myself better than ever.”
Expressing her thoughts on how people treat her despite her huge success and celebrity power, the Teenage Dream songstress went on to add, “I care a lot about the things that are worth caring about but if someone’s not being kind or saying untrue things, then it doesn’t really matter.”
In addition, Perry shared an intimate look at her trailblazing career, revealing her drive to continue pushing boundaries until she can no longer keep up with her own pace.
Speaking of her ‘normal’ life with Orlando Bloom, the American Idol judge further added, "We are so privileged to live such big lives that we’ve created.
“But we do have very kind of normal lives as well.”
