Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit has been exposed to several speculations for the past two decades about turning down a movie with Salman Khan.
Recently, Madhuri stepped forward to clarify the murmurs about rejecting a role alongside the 58-year-old in, Hum Saath-Saath Hain.
During an interview with Zoom, the 57-year-old stated: “I didn’t say no to Hum Saath-Saath Hain, but the makers felt it will look awkward if I play Salman’s bhabhi, when he comes and touches my feet and all that."
“It is not me who decided these things. There was a story floating around that I said no... It is them, who said no?! Sooraj ji said that we are feeling awkward to cast you.. In that role.”
As per the reports, the Devdas star was offered Tabu’s character, who played the role of Sandhana, in the movie.
Another source disclosed that, she wasn’t interested in playing the role of Salman's sister-in-law.
On the work front, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit took over the Hindi cinema for their on-screen romance, in 1990's.
The duo spellbound the audiences in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. They also featured together in Saajan, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, and Dil Tera Aashiq.
