Hollywood singer Akon didn't fail in refreshing the memories attached with a particular hit song as he opened about his wish to make a sequel of one of his iconic featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
While speaking with HT City, the music producer recalled composing Ra.One’s track, stating: "Bollywood has always been very close to my heart, and if an opportunity to work on Chammak Challo 2.0 presents itself, I would love to grab it.”
The Smack That vocalist went on revealing that he’s 'set to mark' his 'Bollywood comeback,' as he talked about his career break.
“I didn’t think of anything in the music space. But, I have been following India’s music scene very closely and I miss Bollywood. There is a lot of Bollywood work that will happen in 2025.”
Moreover, the 51-year-old also disclosed about being in touch with some of his friends in the industry and will announce a project soon.
The influential figure referred India as his second home, as he added, "India is my second home. I try to visit the country every year. I performed in Pune last year. I love India’s vibrance and spiritual energy.“
A fun fact indicated that Akon was picked out to sing one of the the movie's song, Criminal.
Besides the chosen song, he also got signed up for Chammak Challo, after he showed interest in performing the respective soundtrack.
