Bollywood rapper Badshah makes a shocking confession as he opened up about battling with self-doubt prior to any release.
While conversing about his new song Morni, the Garmi vocalist shared: "I get scared before every song. I feel no one will listen to it, in the last 10 years."
"I have learnt the audience loves you for a reason. You give them not what they like but what you want to make from the bottom of your heart."
"If I keep doing what I really love and be honest with my music, be it fast or slow, it will be liked by people today, tomorrow or even later. That is what every artist should aspire for," he concluded.
On the contrary, the newly released song is a remake of Morni Baga Ma Bole, originally sung by the legend Lata Mangeshkar. The song featured Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, and Arun.
Moreover, the song belongs to Yash Chopra's Rajasthan-set film Lamhe.
The badboyshah also titled the movie as one of his most-liked films, as he went on saying, "My ancestors come from Rajasthan and this song resonates a lot with me."
"It's one of my favourite songs. Saregama, YRF were kind enough to play around with it."
Making a new version of the folk song was a ‘big deal’ for the 38-year-old, as it carries a place in everyone's heart and 'memory'.
On the work front, Badshah marked his commercial success after the release of DJ Waley Babu.
The song became a massive hit, gaining over 50 Million views in 24 hours of release.
