Vicky Kaushal's father Sham Kaushal reminisced the miserable moments when people from the industry refused to audition his son.
Sham, who is also a film director, extended his immense support to Vicky throughout his decision of playing small roles, as a start over.
While conversing with Friday Talkies, the film director opened up about his son’s journey in the industry.
He stated that initially, people used to deny taking the 36-year-old's audition, saying, "Vicky ka kya audition lena."
This is when he told his son not to be disappointed by it and advised him to turn these hurdles into a source of strength.
Sham told the Bad Newz star that unless he experiences degradation, he won’t truly grow.
“Make that insult your strength,” he told to the actor.
The Indian stunt coordinator also mentioned that, despite his collaboration with numerous filmmakers, he never sought out anyone to provide opportunities for his child.
Moreover, the father of two also recalled the time when Katrina Kaif’s husband, Vicky, was reluctant to do minor roles in his debut movie, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is the recipient of several awards, including a National Film Award and three Filmfare Awards. He has appeared in Forbes India's 'Celebrity 100 list of 2019'.
