King Charles issued an important update after Prince William unveiled his plans as future monarch.
Buckingham Palace shared on the official social media account of the royal family that the King will mark Remembrance Day with thousands of veterans at The Cenotaph.
The Palace released a historic photo of King George V and wrote, "At 11am, The King will stand alongside thousands of veterans at The Cenotaph on Whitehall to remember members of the Armed Forces who have died serving their country."
"The tradition was started by King George V and has been continued by every Monarch since."
The Palace's spokesperson also gave a rare insight about the photo, saying, it was "taken 100 years ago, on 11th November 1924, King George V places a wreath at the foot of the Cenotaph in Whitehall."
"Around 250,000 people were estimated to have been present during the ceremony."
It is pertinent to mention that King Charles's big announcement came after the Prince of Wales opened up about his different approach as the future King.
Speaking of his future reign in an interview at Cape Town, William said, "...I’m doing it with maybe a smaller ‘r’ in the royal, if you like. That’s maybe a better way of saying it."
The father-of-three shared that his focus would be more on "philanthropy, collaboration, convening and helping people" during his ruling era.
