One Direction star, Liam Payne, who died after a tragic fall from the third floor window of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is to be laid to rest on Friday.
However the death investigation is still “inconclusive” and recently a major update is reported.
Following the Teardrops singer’s death on October 16th, there has been two police raids at CasaSur Palermo Hotel where the star died.
According to the latest update, the new raid involved the detainment of three people accused for supplying drugs to the 31-year-old.
As per ABC World News, "Police detained two hotel workers accused of supplying the drugs, and raided the home of a friend, also detained.”
Official law enforcement sources in Argentina in the told TMZ that the recent raids were conducted on Tuesday night. Adding that the investigative teams also searched the hotel lockers of the workers and examined security footage from the hotel.
Reportedly, up till now, nine raids have took place, nine homes searched for clues, eight of nine of which are related to the three detained people.
Investigators are also reportedly examining a Dove soap box which was found at the scene of death. It is being considered that hotel employees might have smuggled drugs to the star through that box.
This comes after a source close to the late singer informed Daily Mail that, "There were two guys at the hotel that were giving Liam drugs. They sent taxis out to collect packages for him."
Payne’s post-mortem report also suggested that he had traces of drugs in his body at the time of death.
