Gracie Abrams, who rose to prominence after performing with Taylor Swift, has achieved a new milestone as her hit song continues to rule music charts.
The singer's song, That’s So True, jumped up to #5 on the US Spotify Chart for the first time on Sunday, November 3rd.
The exciting update comes after Abrams' second studio album, The Secret of US, hit a milestone back in June, 2024 in UK and earned her first-ever 'No. 1’ at the Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.
“#1 IN THE UK AND AUSTRALIA???? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you soooo much. Can’t wrap my head around it. Just grateful to all of you. I can’t wait to come and play the songs together,” she wrote on Instagram.
The 25-year-old, began her music career in 2019 and achieved breakthrough in 2023 after the release of her first studio album Good Riddance.
She first began writing songs after her third grade teacher encouraged crooner to write down her feelings at a young age.
“I can’t imagine myself, as a kid, just randomly falling into songwriting, had I not been journaling since before I could even read my handwriting back. It just felt so private. I felt so amped to have discovered this sacred space in my journal,” Abrams said.
Her ideas and songwriting skills gained place as an opening act on American pop superstar Taylor Swift’s 'Eras Tour' in North America and Europe. She also featured Swift in her song, us, from her second album.
The singer described the making process with Swift as, “nerdy, drunken conversation in a very romantic and funny way which ended up being part of the instrumental for the song we wrote.”
The Tough Love singer also attracted attention as she earned a nomination for Best New Artist in 2024 Grammy Awards and won iHeartRadio Music Social Star Award.
Abram’s expressed her joy of being nominated in Grammy stating, “It is a wild honour to have even been considered at all for this nomination.”
She is currently busy with her 'The Secret of Us Tour' which began on September, 5th 2024, and will conclude on May, 17th 2025.
