Liam Payne’s last residing place, the hotel where he died, CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires is still being searched for clues to reveal the final cause of death.
After the One Direction star lost his life on October 16th, following a fall from the third floor of his hotel in Argentina, the cause of death could not be confirmed.
An initial post-mortem report suggested multiple injuries and traumas to have caused the 31-year-old’s death but it was dubbed “inconclusive.”
A source revealed on Tuesday, November 5th, to Us Weekly, that the hotel had once again been raided earlier that day.
“Operations carried out by the City Police [and] requested by the prosecutor Andrés Madrea [were] within the framework of the case that is under summary secrecy,” the source informed the outlet, referring to the prosecutor looking over the case for confidentiality of investigation.
A video footage obtained by the a local news outlet showed three law enforcement officials exiting the hotel wearing blue uniforms, backpacks and shoulder bags. One officer could be seen carrying a cardboard box and multiple loose items under his arm.
The officers then reportedly loaded the items into a police vehicle parked outside the hotel.
This comes after the first raid that took place on October 23rd. According to reports, the raid was carried out to identify staff members who had been working at the hotel around the time of the incident.
Investigation officers had reportedly seized hotel’s registration books and security data from the hotel computers.
It was reported that an emergency call had been made from the hotel, reporting a guest who “may be in danger.”
Several days after Liam’s death, his partial autopsy showed traces of “pink cocaine in his system but it remains unclear how the drugs reached the singer.
