Tom Brady, the legendary NFL quarterback, posted a thought-provoking message on Instagram, seemingly addressing his emotions about ex-wife Gisele Bündchen's surprise pregnancy.
Brady shared a quote from Theodore Roosevelt: "It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better... The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, and comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming."
The quote continues, praising those who strive for greatness: "Who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause... If he fails, at least fails while daring greatly."
This message comes after Bündchen, 44, and her boyfriend Joaquim Valente were spotted together following news of their pregnancy.
Sources reveal Brady, 47, was taken aback by the announcement, having only learned about it days before.
"Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquin but he never imagined they would be having a child together," an insider shared.
"It just wasn't something that was on his radar. So when Gisele broke the news to him, he was stunned."
Brady previously posted cryptic song lyrics: "Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?" alongside a sunset photo.
According to reports, Brady and Bündchen's children (Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11) have a positive relationship with Valente, who has been living with their mother. Bündchen is allegedly "excited to embrace this new chapter openly."
