Queen Camilla has reportedly pulled out of her royal engagements this week - including the visit to the Field of Remembrance due to health concerns, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.
The Duchess of Gloucester will step in on behalf of the the Queen at the annual opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on Thursday.
Royal expert Chris ship shared Camilla's photo on X (formerly Twitter) with Buckingham Palace's statement.
The expert wrote: "Buckingham palace says she “is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctor have advised a short period of rest. With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week…”
He concluded as saying: "We understand she’s resting at home in Wiltshire."
The Palace has not shared details regarding her treatment. She is understood to be resting at home under doctors' supervision.
Queen Camilla and King Charles III have recently returned to the UK after a trip to Australia and Samoa.
Recently, a Buckingham Palace official shared update on the King's health, saying: "King's health and spirits were positive after the trip, and that he is expected to return to a more normal schedule of overseas travel in 2025."
