Sean “Diddy” Combs got a special phone call from his children as he celebrated his birthday from behind bars.
As he rang in his birthday on Monday, November 4, the hip-hop mogul — who is currently awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges — shared an emotional phone call with his seven kids.
“I love y’all so much,” Diddy said as his children called to sing him “Happy Birthday” and lit a cake for him, according to a video shared by his son, Justin Dior Combs, on Instagram.
“I’m proud of y’all, especially the girls, for being strong,” he added. “Thank y’all for being by my side and supporting me.”
Diddy, who has been in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since his September arrest, hinted that he would be seeing his family soon, adding, “See you in a couple of days.”
“Happy birthday pops, we love you!’ read the video’s caption.
The Bad Boy Records founder’s family has been by his side through the ordeal, with his children — Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie, and Love — standing up for him both publicly and in court.
Last month, they released a joint statement on Instagram, calling out the “absurdity” of the allegations. “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way…knowing it will prevail,” they wrote.
His oldest children, including son Quincy from his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, even appeared in court on Oct. 10, where his trial date was set for May 2025.
