Ben Affleck has seemingly taken drastic measures to protect his career from his messy divorce drama with Jennifer Lopez.
An insider recently revealed to Daily Mail the main reason behind the Batman star’s recent remarks about his ex-wife during a recent interview.
According to the insider, Affleck publicly praised Lopez's 'spectacular' performance in their upcoming film, Unstoppable, to maintain a positive public image amid their divorce.
The source said, "Ben wants Unstoppable to be a major hit, and for JLo to receive as many accolades as she deserves for it."
Furthermore, the source stated that the critically acclaimed actor sought to maintain a clear boundary between his personal and work life during the split controversy.
Additionally, the source added, "Affleck broke his silence in the wake of their split to praise her 'spectacular' performance because he is 'adamant' about keeping things civil."
Speaking more of Affleck’s latest remarks the insider continued, "He knows that he is going to be asked about Jen during media appearances. He is adamant about keeping it very civil."
"Ben obviously has a lot of loose ends to tie up with JLo, but he is proud of her performance," the tipster concluded.
For the unversed, these bombshell revelations came after Affleck’s recent delightful comments about Lopez during his first-ever in-depth interview during the divorce settlement.
It is pertinent to mention that Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024 after spending two years with each other.
The couple is currently settling their legal matters.
