Olivia Rodrigo has a unique way of gauging compatibility on first dates.
In a recent interview with Netflix, the 21-year-old revealed her intriguing approach.
"The biggest red flag, okay, this is a very oddly specific question that I ask guys on first dates," Rodrigo confessed. "I always ask them if they would want to go to space."
However, her question comes with a twist. If her date responds with a "yes," Rodrigo isn't interested in pursuing the relationship further.
"I just think if you want to go to space, you're a little too full of yourself," she explained.
Rodrigo's current boyfriend, Louis Partridge, seemingly passed her "red flag" test.
The couple was first spotted together in New York in December 2023, and sources confirm they've been quietly dating for months after connecting through mutual friends.
Before Partridge, Rodrigo dated Zack Bia in 2022, but their relationship "fizzled out" due to conflicting schedules and social circles. She also dated film producer Adam Faze, but sources suggest they split in February 2022.
Rodrigo's most notable romance was with her High School Musical: The Series co-star Joshua Bassett. Although neither confirmed nor denied their relationship, fans speculate her debut album, Sour, was inspired by their alleged romance and Bassett's rumored relationship with Sabrina Carpenter.
In her Disney+ documentary Driving Home to You, Rodrigo addressed the drama surrounding her hit single Driver's License.
"There was so much drama that was around 'Driver's License' and so much hate, I thought if I put out [‘Deja Vu’] that I was also playing into this drama, love triangle, let's hate on other girls thing," Rodrigo said.
"I just did not want to do that. And that was, again, [I] never write any of my songs from that point of view 'cause that's not something that I feel."
Rodrigo's refreshing honesty and unique dating approach have captivated fans worldwide.
