Cillian Murphy bloodied, bruised while filming new 'Peaky Blinders' movie
Tommy Shelby’s return hints to be more violent as a BT surfaced from new 'Peaky Blinders' film
Behind-the-scenes photos from the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie suggest that Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby will face even more drama and violence.
The Daily Mail reported on Monday, November 4, that the Oscar-winning actor was spotted filming in Manchester, jumping on his horse with his face stained due to a bloody gash.
In addition to the blood, the 48-year-old lead was covered from head to toe in mud, donning his signature Shelby attire as he rode a sleek black horse.
Murphy reprises his iconic role as Shelby, a character neither a spotless good guy nor a callous villain, from the critically acclaimed BBC series that aired from 2013 to 2022.
For this highly anticipated film, the Oppenheimer star is joined by new cast members, including Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, and Tim Roth.
It was revealed in September that Keoghan, rumoured to be dating Sabrina Carpenter, has joined the cast.
Though details about the Saltburn star’s character remain under wraps, fans have been looking forward to seeing him on the screen with Murphy.
In June 2024, Netflix announced that the film had been greenlit and would enter production later this year.
Later in June, it was confirmed that the original writing and directing team from Peaky Blinders will return alongside Murphy for the film adaptation of the famous British series on the horizon.
