Farhan Akhtar recently made a surprising announcement for fans as the bestselling series Mirzapur is being adapted into a feature film.
Months after the release of its third season, the 50-year-old filmmaker took to his Instagram account and dropped a teaser of the upcoming movie titled Mirzapur The Film.
The viral trailer features the cast of the forthcoming film, which includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Abhishek Banerjee and Divyenndu Sharma.
The one-minute thirty-second teaser hinted at the return of Divyenndu, who played the character of Munna Tripathi, who was killed in the series' second season.
Farhan captioned his post, "Now, the chaos will be bigger, and so will the curtain [of secrets]. #MirzapurTheFilm, coming soon, [Ab bhaukaal bhi bada hoga, aur parda bhi. #MirzapurTheFilm, coming soon].
For the unversed, the first season of the series was released in November 2018 and the second was dropped in October 2020.
However, the final season of the series was released in July 2024.
It is important to mention that the crime-thriller film was produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani.
