Why Princess Beatrice stepped out without husband Edoardo Mapelli?

Princess Beatrice recently attended a glamorous event in London, stepping out solo as she celebrated the launch of a new fashion line by Australian designer Rebecca Vallance and American socialite Nicky Hilton. 

The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson looked stunning at the event, marking her first major appearance since announcing she is expecting her second child.

Her absence of husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi did not go unnoticed. The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, are often seen together at high-profile events, but this time, Edoardo’s demanding work schedule kept him away. 

In a candid interview with The Financial Times, Edoardo admitted that his professional commitments have been pulling him away from his family more often than he would like.

"I'm always on a train," Edoardo confessed, referring to his frequent travels across Europe for his property development business, Banda Property, and his passion for sourcing antiques. 

His busy career means spending less time at their family home in the Cotswolds, where he lives with Princess Beatrice, their three-year-old daughter Sienna, and his son Wolfie from a previous relationship.

Edoardo’s heartfelt admission highlighted the challenge of balancing his ever-expanding business empire with his family life. He founded Banda Property in 2007 at the age of 23, and since then, the company has grown significantly, with major projects in cities like London, New Delhi, and Los Angeles. 

Despite the demands of his career, Edoardo emphasized the importance of stability for his family, a value rooted in his own experience of frequently moving during his childhood.

In 2021, Edoardo and Beatrice purchased a £3.5 million farmhouse in the Cotswolds, where they aim to create a stable home for their family. Along with his property business, Edoardo has also launched Banda Gallery, a curated collection of art, furniture, and homewares, expanding his creative ventures even further.

While Edoardo’s work commitments keep him on the move, Princess Beatrice continues to make public appearances and support charitable causes. Despite their busy schedules, the couple remains committed to balancing their professional and family lives.
