Eva Mendes has recently confessed she will only return to acting if it’s with husband Ryan Gosling.
In a new interview with the U.K.’s Sunday Times, the Fast Five star revealed, “I was never in love with acting. I don’t mean this in a self-deprecating way, but I wasn’t a great actress.”
“I had my moments when I worked with really great people,” she continued.
Eva, who did her best work opposite Ryan in movies like Lost River and The Place Beyond the Pines, mentioned, “He gets something out of me that’s never been accessible before.”
The Hitch actress opened up that she would likely only return to acting if Ryan were involved, adding, “That’s the one thing I would love to do.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Eva also shared she gave acting tips to Ryan who worked in movies like Barbie, The Notebook and La La Land.
“I would just simplify everything. I’m like, ‘Just make Barbie notice you, that’s what Ken is all about.’ So then there was this desperation. He really loved that,” explained the Girl in Progress actress.
Eva told the outlet, “I’d remind him, as he’s literally walking out the door, ‘Make Barbie notice you, make Barbie fall in love with you.’”
