The Wanted honour Liam Payne in a minute long emotional ovation
The Wanted honoured Liam Payne in a heartfelt tribute at their Niagara Concert.
The British boyband urged their fans to join in a minute long applause for the late singer Liam Payne on Thursday.
The band reminisced about how the Teardrops singer had reached out to show support when their former band member, Tom Parker, unfortunately passed away in 2022 due to a brain tumour.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the band member, Max George shared, "Yesterday, we found out the tragic news about Liam Payne, and yeah and obviously shockingly heartbreaking."
He also pointed out that Payne was very supportive when they hosted a fundraiser for their bandmate after his diagnosis.
He shared that the 31-year-old singer was the first to reach out and showed interest in performing for the fundraiser.
"He was amazing, especially after Tom passed. You know, he came to Tom’s funeral, and he was extremely supportive to all of us, even though we hadn’t really been friends."
This heartfelt moment came after Max had paid tribute to Liam on his Instagram.
