Princess Eugenie as seemingly decided to support her cousin Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle during a tough time despite the risks it may entail for her.

A royal source revealed that Eugenie, who lives in Portugal with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two children, August, three, and Ernest, one, has stepped in for her Harry after he purchased a holiday home in same country as hers.

“Harry must know his children are not going to grow up as friends of William’s children, George, Charlotte and Louis,” the royal insider told The Daily Mail. “A bond for Lilibet and Archie with Eugenie's kids will be the only royal friendship they will have.”

The source continued, “Most likely, August and Ernest are the only cousins they are going to ever spend time with”

Prince Harry is still estranged with his brother and future king, Prince William, as their royal rift continues to get deeper.

Meanwhile, a source previously told InTouch Weekly that while Eugenie and her sister Beatrice “don’t have any problem with Meghan and Harry” but they are aware of William’s nature.

“Fact is, everyone knows William is keeping count of who has his back and anyone that doesn’t make their allegiance to him clear runs the risk of suffering the consequences.”

Despite the risk, Eugenie is willing to take a step for Harry even if it is for a brief holiday.

“So, time in Portugal, even just for holidays, means that Harry is keeping the only door to the Royal Family just a little bit open for himself and for the next generation, and raising them as royal children, at least in some way,” the first source said.
