Princess Eugenie’s close connection with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is under renewed scrutiny following reports of the Sussexes’ recent property purchase in Portugal.

The couple has acquired a home in the stunning CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, where Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, already own a residence.

The family, which includes their two young sons, August, three, and Ernest, 16 months, divides their time between this picturesque locale and London.

Eugenie's strong ties with the Sussexes have been well-documented, particularly as she made an appearance in their 2022 Netflix series Harry & Meghan

The couple’s new home is not far from Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who split their time between their London residence and their own home in Portugal, where they live with their two young sons, August and Ernest.

The connection between the Sussexes and Eugenie has always been significant; she was the first member of the royal family introduced to Meghan when they started dating.

Last year, Prince Harry and Meghan enjoyed a romantic three-night getaway in Portugal after the Invictus Games, with sources suggesting they may have stayed with Eugenie and Jack during their trip.

However, this bond has raised eyebrows, especially in light of the ongoing tensions between the Sussexes and senior royals.

Harry’s decision to share personal anecdotes and details of family disputes in his memoir Spare has sparked concerns about potential leaks of sensitive information.

Their recent eviction from Frogmore Cottage, the five-bedroom property gifted to them by the late Queen Elizabeth II, further underscores the complexities of these relationships amid a backdrop of familial discord.
