Andrew Garfield is not too sure if dating on-set partners is a good idea.
The 41-year-old actor who has been romantically involved with a couple of women he has worked with before, expressed doubt about the success of such relationships in conversation with Amelia Dimoldenberg for Chicken Shop Date interview series.
During the interview on Friday, October 18th, the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor asked the host if she hoped to find “the one” during the interview series, which is portrayed as dates at a chicken shop.
Amelia responded, “Yeah. Do you not?” adding, “But isn’t it just like meeting someone at work, except I’ve made [my work] into a date?”
The host then overturned the situation by referring to Andrew's workplace which is the entertainment industry, and the actor quipped, “Yeah, exactly. And how many of those relationships work out?”
When urged to answer himself, the We Live in Time star shared that such romances rarely last, saying, “I mean, it’s like, flash in the pan stuff, usually.”
While the actor has been romantically involved with high profile women, it seems as if it doesn't work in the couple's favour. He has been previously linked with actress Shannon Woodward, actress Susie Abromeit, singer Rita Ora, model Christine Gabel, model Alyssa Miller, and most famously Emma Stone, with whom he split after dating for four years.
This comment comes after the Never Let Me Go star's recent split with professional witch Kate Tomas.
Kate recently declared that the two had broken up “months ago” in reply to an Instagram comment.
