Meghan Markle has embraced a stunning transformation, embodying her signature "Californian girl-next-door" aesthetic, according to makeup artist Margherita Lascala, who spoke exclusively to GB News.
Originally from Los Angeles, Meghan now lives in Santa Barbara with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two young children, Prince Archie, aged five, and Princess Lilibet, aged three.
Since relocating to California in 2020, Meghan's beauty routine has likely evolved to reflect her surroundings. Lascala shared insights into Meghan's approach to makeup, noting that the Duchess has always expressed pride in her freckles. Rather than opting for a heavy foundation to cover them,
Meghan reportedly favours lightweight products like skin tints and tinted moisturizers. A popular choice among makeup artists is the Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint, while Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer also enjoys a devoted following.
For application, Lascala recommends using a round brush to achieve a natural finish. Meghan likely uses concealer sparingly, focusing on the under-eye area, and applies a light finishing powder to her T-zone for a polished look.
To enhance her complexion, Lascala suggests using Pat McGrath Labs' highlighter balm, which adds a radiant glow. Additionally, Meghan may accentuate her freckles by lightly dotting them with a brow pencil, completing her quintessential Californian look.
Meghan, 43, and Harry, 40, made the move to California in 2020 after stepping back from their roles as senior royals.
They tied the knot on May 19, 2018, at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle and welcomed their first child, Archie, on May 6, 2019.
The couple later announced their decision to step back as working royals in January 2020, ultimately settling in Meghan's home state. Their second child, Princess Lilibet Diana, was born in June 2021.
