Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to be planning ahead as the couple sniffs out possible setback in their living situation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly made a massive purchase in Portugal, a holiday home, which will allow them easy access to EU countries except the UK.

A royal expert suggested that there is another major reason why Harry and Meghan bought the new house apart from the ‘Golden Visa’.

“There are two reasons why Harry and Meghan might go to Portugal,” royal expert Hugo Vickers told The Sun.

Vickers suggested that one reason is that Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie resides in the country and she appears to be one of the “main members of the family who are still very much in touch” with him.

“The other reason is that there is always this fear that if Donald Trump gets re-elected as President, he will move Prince Harry from America,” Vickers explained. “It’s exactly the sort of thing that he would do, because first of all, it would show his strength and his power. To show that he can do it.

The expert continued, “He has been irritated, I think, in the past by things that Meghan Markle has said about him, and probably Prince Harry as well.”

Prince Harry’s visa application previously came under scrutiny after he admitted to using recreational drugs in his memoir, Spare.

The conservative Heritage Foundation think tank urged the US government to release the records to see if the prince lied on his application, drawing concerns that Harry could be deported if he did.

However, the judge ended up ruling in favour of Harry with verdict that “the public does not have a strong interest in disclosure of the duke's immigration records.”
