Sabrina Carpenter, whose single Espresso reigned over everyone’s summer playlists, has broken yet another record.
The 25-year-old popstar’s latest album, Short ‘N Sweet, has achieved chart-topping success with hit tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 list, which made her the first female artist with the most weeks at No.1 in the U.K. for a single ever.
The VMA winner’s singles Taste, Espresso, and Please Please Please, have spent 19 weeks combined at No.1 on the list this year.
With this milestone, the Bad Chem singer has broken the record of the legendary Olivia Newton-John who first held the record in 1978 with 16 weeks at No.1.
However, that is not all. The songstress has also tied with Ed Sheeran for the most weeks at No. 1 in a single year in this entire century.
According to a Billboard report, Taste has notably earned over 6 million streams this week alone, which marks its seventh consecutive week as the most streamed song in the U.K.
This comes after the Disney alum marked another achievement under her belt by securing her place in the Time100 Next List.
