Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly declined the Christmas invitation, which they received from a family close to their hearts.
For the unversed, it was previously reported that the Montecito couple was invited to spend Christmas at Althorp, the ancestral home of late Princess Diana's family.
Express.co.uk claimed that the Duke of Sussex's uncle, Charles Spencer has invited Harry, Meghan and their three children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to Althorp this Christmas.
However, a new source shared with the publication, "Harry is keen for the Sussexes to spend time in the UK this Christmas with family. However, there are still concerns lingering over their security."
King Charles's son earlier admitted in an ITV interview that it is still 'dangerous' to bring his wife and children to the UK for many reasons.
Harry said, "It's still dangerous. And all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff, to act on what they have read... And whether it's a knife or acid, whatever it is. And these are things that are a genuine concern for me."
He added, "It's one of the reasons why I won't bring my wife back to this country."
