Alia Bhatt is asking Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a favour as she reflects on Salman Khan starrer now-shelved film Inshallah.
In an exclusive interview with Lallantop, the actress, who is preparing for Bhansali's upcoming film Love & War alongside Ranbir Kapoor, recently expressed her desire to revive the project someday.
Referring to Inshallah as a “lovely love story,” the 32-year-old said, "Whatever Sanjay sir decides will be the best for the film!"
The filmmaker revealed Alia Bhatt's emotional response to the film's fate in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, recounting that the Gangubai actress "broke down, cried, and locked herself in her room."
It wasn’t long until Bhansali called her and offered a lead role in the award-winning film Gangubai Kathiawadi, which became a success overnight.
For the unversed, Inshallah was shelved due to creative differences between the director and Salman Khan.
Producer Jayantilal Gada once opened up to Bollywood Hungama about its demise, confirming that the actor-director duo had “creative differences” about the highly-anticipated film’s ending.
Meanwhile, Love & War is slated to make its way onto the big screen on March 20, 2026.
