Royal commentator Ingrid Seward has critiqued Meghan Markle's appearance at a recent children's hospital gala in Los Angeles, suggesting on GB News that the Duchess of Sussex seemed "overshadowed" and possibly unhappy at the event.

Seward speculated that Meghan might have been dissatisfied with her appearance, noting, "It's quite possible she wasn't feeling happy with the way she looked".

She further observed that Meghan's presence at the event was brief and suggested the duchess felt overshadowed. "I think that Meghan was overshadowed, and I don't think she was happy about it", Seward concluded.

A source told OK! magazine that Meghan's striking red dress at the gala signalled her desire to distance herself from her royal past.

"Since leaving, she has slowly been getting more daring with her choices", the insider claimed.

The source added that Meghan is pursuing her own career goals, including an upcoming Netflix cooking show.
