Henry Cavill is all geared up for Amazon MGM’s feature adaptation of popular anime, ‘Voltron’.
Deadline reported that the movie is going to be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber who will be working from a script he co-wrote with Ellen Shanman.
The details of the story are still under the wraps as the cast and Amazon studio remained secret about the storyline.
The outlet reported that Voltron is based on the 1980s animated TV series that followed a team of space explorers who pilot a giant super robot known as Voltron and was adapted from several Japanese anime TV series by Toei Animation.
Interestingly, Henry, who rose to fame with the role of Superman/Clark Kent in the Man of Steel movie, is currently in the gym training for the lead role in upcoming reboot of Highlander, which will be directed by Chad Stahelski,
The outlet mentioned that the premise for Voltron focuses on five young pilots in a battalion named the Robot Lions, which are vehicles that join together to form the mega-robot.
Meanwhile, Henry will next be seen in two spy-action comedies this year including Matthew Vaughn's Argyle and Guy Ritchie's The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare, featuring a star-studded ensemble cast in both movies.
