RM, whose real name is Kim Nam-joon, had a moment of epiphany while making his first-ever solo documentary, RM: Right People, Wrong Place.
The BTS sensation’s creative team debuted the documentary on Monday, October 7, at the Busan International Film Festival before its world premiere.
RM, 30, was notably absent from the BIFF event due to his enlistment in the South Korean mandatory military service in December 2023.
"This documentary captures the raw, human side of Kim Nam-joon," explained the team at the premiere.
During the screening, the BTS leader made a significant claim about himself, saying, "What’s 'Right' and 'Wrong' constantly changes depending on our perspective. Through this work, I’ve come to believe that I’m one of the 'Right' people.’”
For the unversed, Right People, Wrong Place chronicles exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews that lead up to his second solo album Right Place, Wrong Person.
"He reflects on how honest he can be as both RM and Kim Nam-joon, balancing gratitude for the attention he receives with the pressure and fear that come with his status," a paragraph from the official synopsis reads.
The global superstar dropped the latest album on May 24, followed by Muse in July. RM’s debut solo album was titled Indigo, which he released in 2020.
