Sanjay Leela Bhansali has recently shared about his first ever encounter with the superstar of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone.
As per the Padmavat director, he was frozen seeing the beauty of the woman and thought she had a beautiful voice.
In conversation with the Hollywood Reporter, Sanjay quoted: "When I met Deepika, when I went to her house for the first time, she opened the door. I froze at the beauty of the woman, by the eyes, when I realized that there's so much of subtlety, so much of fragility, there's so much of beauty. She started talking, and I realized her voice was beautiful."
The directed than recalled how he thought at the moment that he was at the right place at the right time.
According to India Today, the 61-year-old director went on to say: "Then I realized I was at the right place at the right time because I knew this girl would be moulded, would be taken somewhere. It's your instinct of how you connect. Your soul has to connect to their soul.”
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has worked with Deepika Padukone in numerous projects; Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela was one of them. It featured Ranveer Singh, Richa Chaddha, Gulshan Devaiah and Supriya Pathak in significant roles. The film turned out to be a blockbuster.
