Bollywood’s ace director Karan Johar and his production company has mutually decided to put an end to the pre-release screenings of their upcoming films.
Dharma Production have been hosting pre-release screenings of their films for a while now. But the co-founders and signatories of the production company including Karan and Apoorva Mehta have officially decided not to continue the practice.
On October 7, 2024, an official statement was released by Dharma Productions. It is a detailed note addressed to the members of media.
"For years, rather decades, you have firmly stood by us at Dharma Productions, supporting our films, sharing our dreams, and celebrating our victories.”
“Your faith in us has been a driving force throughout our journey, and we'd like to take this moment to extend our deepest and heartfelt gratitude to you all. Each coverage, review, and feedback has been invaluable to us, and they have undeniably helped us make our films reach audiences far and wide.”
“As we continue to evolve, we find ourselves at a juncture where we must adapt and innovate our approach. After much deliberation, we've unanimously decided to forgo pre-release screenings for our upcoming films”, the note read.
Dharma Productions have released many super hit films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Student of the Year, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani and many more.
At present, the company is all set to release their latest project titled Jigra starring Alia Bhatt, report India Today.
