Bollywood icon Alia Bhatt recently gave a major credit to the much-acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi for the success of her character in Udta Punjab.
While promoting her upcoming film Jigra, Alia revealed how Pankaj helped her out in preparing for the role in Udta Punjab. According to her, he acted out as a mentor to her for a month.
“Not many people know this, but Pankaj Tripathi was actually my mentor for that whole one month. This is before Pankaj Tripathi...he was always Pankaj Tripathi but this was before he blew up”, she added.
The Brahmastra actress said that the Ludo star provided her guidance along with acting exercises, reports India Today.
She exclaimed: "I got one month of, like, just him every day, giving me, like, acting exercises and stuff.”
It looks like Tripathi’s guidance worked out quite well for Bhatt as it solidified her position in Bollywood.
Pankaj Tripathi is an extremely talented actor in Bollywood who started out by playing small supporting roles in films like Masaan, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Fukrey, Stree and is now recognized as Kaleen Bhaiyya from the popular Amazon Prime show Mirzapur.
