Ananya Panday is finally reacting to being called ‘upcoming Alia Bhatt’ in the film industry.
During an exclusive interview with Filmgyan, the Kho Gaye Hum Kahan star detailed on her upcoming film CTRL, which is set to premiere on Netflix on October 4, 2024.
While she appeared with director Vikramaditya Motwane to promote her cyber thriller, the host brought up a fan comment that read, “Ananya Panday is the upcoming Alia Bhatt for sure.”
Nodding in disagreement, the Dream Girl 2 actress instantly replied, “No.”
Sharing her stance on Bhatt’s spectacular acting skills, she continued, “I think Alia is too good. It’s a huge compliment that people think that but I think I can’t touch what Alia has done, ever.”
Ananya previously opened up about her character in the film that also features Vihaan Samat, Devika Vatsa, and Sucheta Trivedi in lead roles.
In a recent statement, the actress shared that her character struggles in a world dominated by technology and social media where the lines between reality and virtual reality are constantly blurred.
For the unversed, the film is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya A Menon alongside script writers Avinash Sampath and Vikramaditya Motwane.
