Govinda was recently rushed to a hospital in Juhu after he accidentally shot himself with his own revolver.
According to Mumbai Police, the veteran Bollywood star suffered from a bullet injury on Tuesday, October 1, at his Juhu residence after his licensed revolver misfired and struck his knee.
The 60-year-old actor, who is known for his charisma and comedy in the film industry in the 90s’ and early 2000s, was planning to leave for his flight to Kolkata around 4:45 am while he was alone at home.
Rehashing the incident’s hysterics, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha explained, "We had a 6 am flight to Kolkata for a show. Govinda ji was about to leave his residence when the revolver accidentally fell from the cupboard and misfired.”
"By God's grace, Govinda ji sustained only a minor injury to his leg, and it wasn't more serious."
The actor received treatment at Criticare Hospital in the same city, where the bullet was successfully extracted.
For the unversed, his condition is now stable, and he has finally returned home.
The actor expressed heartfelt gratitude for his fans' well-wishes, saying in an audio message, "I was hit by a bullet, but it has been extracted.
"I thank the doctors, and your prayers have kept me safe. The blessings of my fans, parents, and my guru saved me.”
