Sabrina Carpenter up against Chappell Roan in chart battle
Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Taste’ takes the top spot while Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! is following closely
Sabrina Carpenter is in a neck-to-neck competition with Chappell Roan for the number one position on the UK singles chart.
Currently, the 25-year-old pop sensation is leading the midweek chart with her single Taste, from her latest album Short n’ Sweet.
However, Roan is right on her heels with her track Good Luck, Babe! holding the second spot.
In addition to their tight race, both artists are making headlines with their recent activities.
The Espresso hitmaker kicked off her Short n’ Sweet Tour on September 23, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio.
Celebrating the sold-out opening night, she took to Instagram to express her gratitude to fans.
"Thank you, Columbus, for a sold-out show and for singing every single word," she captioned a carousel, featuring highlights from the night. "I can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces again. See you tomorrow, Toronto!"
Meanwhile, Roan recently marked the one-year anniversary of her album The Rise & Fall of a Midwest Princess.
Looking back fondly on the past year, she shared her appreciation for her fans in an Instagram post, stating, "One year of my life has been changed forever. Thank you for believing in this project and in me."
In addition to Carpenter and Roan’s battle for the top spot, The Weekend and Playboi Carti’s collaboration, Timeless, is poised to enter the chart at number three.
