Meghan Markle has found herself in a middle of a new controversy in what appears to be a bad timing for her, as she prepares to launch her lifestyle brand.
The Duchess of Sussex, who has been preparing for the official unveiling of American Riviera Orchard by the end of this year, was hit with a major setback as harrowing stories of bullying were exposed by multiple outlets.
The Hollywood Reporter quoted former staff at Archewell dubbed her as “Duchess Difficult” and a “dictator in high heels.” Another report by The Daily Beast quoted former employees calling Meghan a “demon” who had “psycho moments” as a boss.
According to royal expert, Hugo Vickers he “wasn’t surprised” when those accusations were published about the wife of Prince Harry.
He went on to urge the Duchess that she should “always be polite” to their employees otherwise they will be “put out.”
Vickers also revealed that Meghan was reprimanded by the late Queen Elizabeth when she was still a senior working royal after she was “very rude” to one of the under gardeners at Windsor.
“The head gardener went to complain to the Queen and she told her off because she obviously didn't like people being rude to staff,” he told The Sun. “None of these other stories surprised me. She probably is not very good with staff or people that she's employing. It's just very unattractive.”
He continued, “You should always be very polite to people who work for you because otherwise they're going to get very put out.”
The warning also comes as Meghan deals with trademark issue over her brand name, with one month already gone past amid her three-month deadline.
Failure to respond within this timeframe could result in the abandonment of her application.
